VIGNETTE
Hypoglossal nerve dysfunction may be supranuclear, nuclear, or infranuclear. A 60-year-old woman developed new-onset vertex headache radiating to the left orbital region, left auricular region, left retromandibular area, and left posterior neck. She also had trouble chewing, swallowing, and controlling her tongue. Her tongue was atrophic on the left.
