American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) impairment scale—sensory



Description


Incorporates a summed score for all dermatomes using light touch and pin prick. Scored on a 0 (no sensation), 1 (reduced sensation), 2 (sensation).



Interpretation


The lower the score, the greater the sensory deficit.



Clinical relevance


Allows the grading of the magnitude of the sensory deficit.
