A patient scores very low in WAIS-R subtests for picture arrangement and block design as compared to other subtests. What does this result suggest?

WAIS-R: Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale—Revised, developed by David Wechsler, a Romanian American psychologist;

A disproportionately low score in picture arrangement and block design implies a lesion in the nondominant hemisphere.

What are SCID and MINI?

SCID: The Structured Clinical Interview for the DSM-IV;

A semistructured interview that applies DSM-IV criteria;

Administered by a clinician, is time-consuming, and is therefore used only in research;

Arguably the most reliable instrument for diagnosing psychiatric disorders.

MINI: The Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview;

Similar to SCID but more compact and demands only yes/no answers rather than those shown on a numerical scale.

What does the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-II assess?

It measures personality styles, expressed concerns, and behavioral correlates.

What is the Bender Gestalt Test?
