Clinical features: usual presentation is with seizures in early infancy. Variable features: delayed motor development, microcephaly, ataxia, hypotonia, spasticity. Isolated mental retardation or choreoathetosis may occur. All patients have low CSF glucose (with normal blood glucose) and low-normal to low CSF lactate.
